After years of experience in professional kitchens, I began offering private catering in Berlin.
I originally studied Fine Art at the University of the Arts Berlin. After graduating, I spent time in the studio wondering how to give form to my ideas — until I finally decided to follow my passion and returned to Japan. That’s where my journey as a chef began, at the traditional kaiseki restaurant Gion Matayoshi in Kyoto. Later, I continued my career at the internationally inspired Mrs. Robinson’s in Berlin. At S h i z u k u., I created both omakase and à la carte menus as head chef, continually experimenting to develop my own cooking style.
I forage, I ferment. I love everything about cooking, because a good chef brings out the best in each ingredient — and that’s a way of honoring nature. I truly enjoy cooking professionally, but I also hold deep respect for home cooking, and I’m always seeking to blend the two.
My catering style is flexible and tailored to your needs. I’m open to any occasion — from intimate family gatherings and private concept dinners in museums to large wedding buffets.
If you're interested in catering, a group lunch or dinner, or a cooking class, please send me an email with the details.
I look forward to hearing from you — and cooking for you.
